On 27 October 2026, Oman's Ministry of Finance and the Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority announced updated unified government contracts covering design, procurement, construction and engineering consultancy. The revisions remove the previous 5% retention requirement and introduce stronger project-delay controls, including recovery plans when delays reach 5%.
